- Use strategic concepts and models to generate, evaluate and assess strategic options.
- Finance for Directors:
- Evaluate the director’s role and responsibilities in relation to finance, and the relationship between financial and corporate stratégies.
- Understand common financial statements and, how they relate to each other and are affacted by business decisions.
- Explain how to use financial ratios, and interpret accounts in order to assess the financial health of an organisation.
- Outline ways of ensuring that management reporting is effective in enabling the organisation’s strategy to be achieved.
- Understand the key factors to consider in relation to funding requirements and possible funding options.
- Leadership for Directors:
- Develop an understanding of how leadership can be defined and understood in relation to the director’s role on the board.
- Apply techniques for developing a greater awareness of one-self and the motivations and behaviours of others.
- Create a culture which constructively engages others in the organisation to achieve the strategic objectives, and to respond effectively to crisis and change.
- Indentify how leaders create influence and impact within and beyond the organisation and asses relevant stakeholder engagement strategies.
